Science Fair Timeline

When and where to turn up, what to bring, and timing around the Science Fair days and the subsequent exhibition of winning projects at Kiwi North. 

Forum North – Science Fair

Monday 24th August 2020

  • 9am to 11:30am – Exhibitors in Years 7 to 11 need to set up their displays in the Exhibition Hall at Forum North. Years 12 to 13 students are not required at this time.
  • 11:30am to 12:30pm – The Hall is to be vacated by all exhibitors. This is the Judges preparation time.
  • 12:30pm to 3pm – All Exhibitors in Years 7 to 11 to be present by their exhibit for Judges Interviews. Students in Years 12 to 13 are to be available at their scheduled interview time for their Poster Presentation.
  • From 3pm – Hall is closed for Judging.

Tuesday 25th August 2020

  • 10:00am to 6:45pm – Hall is open for viewing of exhibits.
  • 6:50pm – Students to be seated in the first three rows of the Capitaine Bougainville Theatre for the Awards Ceremony. The Awards Ceremony will start at 7:00pm. The Hall will be re-opened after the ceremony until 9:00pm for further viewing of exhibits.

Wednesday 26th August 2020

  • 10:00am to 4:00pm – Hall is open for public viewing of exhibits.

Thursday 27th August 2020

  • 10:00am to 4:00pm – Hall is open for public viewing of exhibits.
  • 4:00pm to 5:30pm – Exhibits for the winners in all Class & Special Award categories will be collected by staff from Kiwi North for display at Kiwi North in the Museum Gallery. There is only room at Kiwi North for the exhibit boards, any extra equipment or display material will be left in the Hall and will need to be removed. Unfortunately there will not be room for Highly Commended exhibits at Kiwi North and these will also be left in the Hall and will need to be removed. Students and Parents may remove their exhibits from 4:00pm. The assigned representative from each school is to ensure all their school’s remaining exhibits, equipment and display materials are dismantled and removed from the Exhibition Hall by 5:30pm.

Kiwi North – Winning Exhibits

Friday 28th August – Friday 11th September 2020

Display of winning exhibits for all Class & Special Award Winner categories at Kiwi North in the Museum Gallery. Celebration event with refreshments and extended opening hours on Friday 4th September, hosted by Kiwi North, to celebrate the winners achievements. Winners will each receive a free pass to bring their family/friends to see the display.

Future Science Fair Dates

The 2021 Fair will be held at Forum North, 23rd to 26th August 2021

The 2022 Fair will be held at Forum North, 29th August to 1st September 2022
